What are clover mites?
Clover mites are very small, only about 1/30 of an inch in length, which is smaller than a pinhead. They belong to the arachnid family and therefore have eight legs with the front pair being much longer than the others and protruding from their head; they are oval in shape and reddish-brown in color. The adults are very lethargic appearing and slow-moving.
Are clover mites dangerous?
Clover mites are considered to be nuisance pests; they do not bite or pass diseases to humans. They do, however, invade in very large numbers and can get into curtains, linens, and furniture and can cause irritation in some people.
